'St. Isaac the Syrian' Virtual Brick

Our brotherhood has more than doubled in size since the founding of this monastery, and pilgrims continue to visit in increasing numbers seeking spiritual guidance. We have far outgrown the tiny chapel we originally built when we moved to West Virginia.

We are in great need of your prayers and financial support to build our new monastery church so that we can continue to grow. Designed by architect Andrew Gould, our new church will enable us to grow our monastic community and better support the growing number of visitors who join us in prayer throughout the year.

When you purchase a 'virtual brick' your contribution will go directly to the construction and material needs for our new monastery church. Please note that 'virtual bricks' are not a physical brick that will be shipped to you or used in the construction; it is merely a virtual way for our Friends, Benefactors and Founders to contribute directly to the construction and beautification of our new monastery church here at Holy Cross.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate in the growth of Orthodox monasticism here in America. Each 'virtual brick' that is donated to the monastery can be given in commemoration of yourself, a family member, a friend, or a loved one who has fallen asleep in the Lord. A gift note will be sent to each recipient with the details of the gift that was made in their name. Donors who contribute a gift of $100 or more will also receive:

  • Holy oil from St. Panteleimon shrine
  • An invitation to our annual moleben and pannykhida on the Feast of the Port Arthur Icon
