Mother Theodora Takes the Great Schema as Mother Xenia

During the days of the Nativity Fast, Metropolitan Jonah (Paffhausen) visited the monastery to tonsure Nun Theodora to the Great Schema. On the afternoon of the feast day of St. Herman of Alaska, Vladyka Jonah and the Holy Cross brotherhood gathered in the old chapel. There, Mother Theodora made her final renunciation of the world and was reborn in Christ as Schema-nun Xenia, named in honor of Blessed Xenia of Saint Petersburg.
