Tonsure of Fr. Martin to the Riassa
Following the Akathist Service to the Most Holy Mother of God on Friday evening, Fr. Martin was tonsured to the riassa (the first stage in becoming a monk following the novitiate). The tonsure was performed in the presence of the copy of the Mother of God "Softener of Evil Hearts" which has brought great grace to Fr. Seraphim during his recent illness.
