Pure and natural frankincense imported from Ethiopia with hints of lemon and evergreen. This is the first choice selection - larger pieces than our typical pea size offerings, and a finer fragrance.

And when [the Magi] had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh. - Matthew 2:11

Nice but I received the wrong item.

Incense from Holy Cross is always wonderful and fills the Church with a heavenly scent. I did not get what I ordered, but it is still satisfactory.

Love it

Fresh incense, not a problem smoking, very fragrant of the Frankincense.

Quality Incense

Very pleasant aroma that does not cloud up the room, very light and delicate.
It burns evenly and completely, no waste at all. I would buy this again.

Excellent

First time ordering from Holy Cross Monastery. Very fast shipping. Ordered a pound of the First Choice Ethiopian Frankincense resin. Really large nuggets that burn 40 mins to an hour on their 40mm quicklight charcoal. I use this for my personal prayer time in my Thurible. It has a very beautiful and very calming aroma. Helps with my chronic pain and anxiety too. I will definitely be ordering this again.

Great quality

I really like the Ethiopian frankincense. In my opinion it is superior to the Nigerian frankincense even though it is the same species of tree. The only difference I can think of is growing location and perhaps the overall size difference between the Nigerian and Ethiopian frankincense. While the first choice Nigerian frankincense comes in larger pieces, I have found there to be an odd smell at the end of the burn. It is not a completely unpleasant aroma, just odd. In the case of the Ethiopian frankincense there is no odd smell and it burns completely to ash. Between the two Ethiopian frankincense wins hands down every time.
