The wick has a very large diameter, much larger than it was.

We recently had to find a new supplier for wicking. The new wicks come in 4-ply bundles. Each ply should be unstrung and used individually. When using a single ply, we had consistent success burning them in our Old Rite Wick Holders, as the diameter of the single ply wick is comparable to the wicking we sold previously. If you do not find that to be the case, please let us know.

Lampada wicks

The lampada wicks are magnificent. Great length, will last you months for one strand, and they give you 20 of them!

These wicks are the perfect size for their old rite wick holder. If the wick is too small then the holder won’t hold it. If the wick is too big, then the holder will constrict the capillary action of the wick. The combination of these wicks and the old rite wick holder works perfect!

Thank you for the wicks. They are the only of a kind that do the job right.
