We bottled up the aroma of an ancient Byzantine basilica with wooden rafters overhead and the smoke of frankincense lingering in the air. Old Church incense is a complex and woody blend of labdanum, frankincense, cedar & fir needle and vetiver, with a touch of spices.
I use 3 pieces just beside a hot coal during my prayers each morning, this scent smells wonderful, slightly sweet.
Fills the house with the most relaxing and calming aroma. Excellent for quiet contemplative prayer.
Favorite incense, there is something about the smell which is quite ancient. Like the Holy Fathers have been crafting this incense for centuries, and they have delivered it to the present. Amazing quality, does not immediately bubble and boil and turn black, can even be used in a thurible and wont burn out quickly. Glory to God
