This burner is sturdy and beautiful and I love that it came with 2 types of incense and the charcoal. All I had to do was provide the flame to be able to pray with incense straight out of the box.
Very good quality items and quick shipping. I love the frankincense. Some basic instructions would have been nice but easy to find online. This Lutheran is hooked and will definitely be back!
This a great way to get everything needed for offering incense at home.
It does get hot so be warned. Other than that it does it's job very well!
The brass censer is of high quality construction. It is very sturdy and durable. The incense is very fragrant and very authentic. Smells just like Church. For those new to this form of incensing it is very helpful to use a small fan or overhead fan to feed the charcoal and keep it active and it will burn up the incense slowly and steadily. I also like to use a small piece of cupped foil inside for easy cleaning after each use. I prefer to use a small amount of incense at the beginning of prayer to cleanse the space before going into and focusing on prayer. My method is to break off a small piece of charcoal, 1/4-1/2 of a piece, get that started and blow on it till the piece is glowing red, then add 1 or 2 pieces of incense, cense my icon corner and then return the incense to a table with the lid now open and an overhead fan blowing down into the censor to allow the incense to burn steadily throughout prayer. Hopefully this helps anyone struggling with this type of censing. It seems to me that these products are of great quality but the more poor reviews are a result of inexperience with this type of censing. Any alter servers will recognize these are basically the same products used in Church but with a personal sized censor.
