Velvety, soft, and full of flavor, Hermitage Pound Cakes make an excellent addition to any festive occasion. They're made right here in our monastery bakery, using a time-tested, traditional recipe, with fresh European-style butter and top-quality flour from Weisenberger Mill, a Kentucky family-owned business since 1865.

Six flavors are available throughout the year:

Year-round

  • Frosted Lemon—Tart, sweet, and covered with a zesty lemon glaze.
  • Bourbon—Real Kentucky bourbon and brown sugar are baked right into this delicious cake. Soaked in a bourbon glaze and topped with a bourbon frosting for intense flavor.
  • Caramel—Our classic pound cake recipe made with rich brown sugar, topped with delectable caramel frosting.

    Fall/Winter

    • Cranberry Orange—A perfect holiday blend of tangy orange zest, tart cranberries, and crunchy pecans.
    • Chocolate—Rich notes of cocoa and espresso meld together for an intense chocolate flavor. Chocolate buttercream frosting tops it all off.

    Summer

    • Blueberry—Succulent blueberries add a burst of flavor to our silky-smooth pound cake.

    Surprisingly Good!

    This is a tasty product with a "grown up" taste. Perfect for serving after dinner with a cup of coffee and a scoop of French vanilla ice-cream. I prefer the cream cheese frosting on the blueberry pound cake, but otherwise think this is a worthy choice when you want something different.

    Best Cake Ever

    This was the best pound cake I've ever had, and the best cake in general I've ever had. Sweet, but not too sweet to where it's overwhelming, and the right texture to where it's not too dry nor too moist/soggy. Very delightful and wonderful treat! You can definitely tell this was made with sacrificial love. God bless!
