For several years now our cemetery has not had any available spaces, but with God’s help, we are again able to accommodate people who wish to be buried on the monastery grounds. This year, we are undertaking a landscaping project that will significantly expand our cemetery, creating 70 additional plots. This new section of our cemetery adjoins the preexisting section located near the monastery guest house.

The monument for Hieromonk Kallistos, the founder of the Hermitage, has been delivered and installed. The monument will be blessed by His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion following the Divine Liturgy on Pilgrimage Weekend (October 2).

On Monday, March 1, the remains of Fr. Kallistos were disinterred and carefully relocated to the monastery where Fr. Kallistos was greeted by the Hermitage brotherhood amidst ringing bells, icons, and incense, in a procession led by the monastery’s abbot Archimandrite Seraphim.

The Hermitage extends special thanks to all who gave toward the project to move the remains of our founder from Missouri and erect a monument for him in the new monastic cemetery. With God's help the goal has been reached, and the transfer is planned for a time in January to be determined.

On Wednesday, November 11 / October 29, the feast of the Virgin-martyr Anastasia of Rome, a pannykhida was served in the monastery church for the repose of Hieromonk Kallistos (Pazalos), the founder of the Hermitage of the Holy Cross, on the 23rd anniversary of his repose.
